overview

Racing Zero 2-Way Fit

8% more reactive!

The new Oversize flange revolutionises the performance of what was already the class-beating aluminium wheel and raises the bar even higher.

Greater overall stiffness and more efficient torque transmission.

Each pedal stroke is transformed into power and acceleration. Available as the exclusive 2-Way Fit version or the classic standard or tubular tyre version, the most competitive wheel in the Fulcrum range now lets you ride even harder.

Racing Zero 2-Way Fit with Shimano Inc. FW body is compatible with 10 and 11 speed sprockets.
Racing Zero 2-Way Fit are available in the “Bright Label” version also distinguished by the white hubs.

The Racing Zero 2-Way Fit wheel is entirely hand-assembled by a specialised Fulcrum® technician and is checked in every tiny detail with electronic instrumentation. This ensures maximum performance and reliability for all Fulcrum® wheels.

features & benifits

TRIPLE MILLING

This special milling makes it possible to reduce the peripheral weight of the rim and to increase the reactivity of the wheel.

DIFFERENTIATED RIM HEIGHT
26mm at the front for optimal manoeuvrability; 30mm at the back to transfer all the power to the wheel.

AERODYNAMIC PROFILE IN ALUMINIUM
enables the maximum aerodynamic penetration and, thanks to the material used, less weight and greater reactivity

ALUMINIUM NIPPLES
make it possible to reduce the peripheral mass of the wheel to the minimum, thus increasing its reactivity.

HUB BODY IN CARBON
a high level of lateral stiffness and reduces the weight to a minimum.

ALUMINIUM AXLE
reduces the overall weight of the wheel

NEW OVERSIZE FLANGE
8% more torsional stiffness. Greater reactivity to each change in pedalling tempo and more efficient power transmission to the wheel.

QUICK RELEASE
Steel spine and eccentric, lever with drill lightening and aluminum die. Eccentric-closure system allows cyclist to modulate the pressure necessary for heightened sensitivity to find the proper closure for the block. Easy to use, with a material resistant to wear and tear, rust, and pressure.

As a bare wheelset the Zero is very light at 1,460g for the pair. Aluminium bladed spokes help keep weight down, and carbon-fibre-bodied hubs fitted with ceramic bearings reduce it further. With tyre and skewer the front weighs 1kg, the rear 1.25kg. A tough anodised freehub body keeps cassette damage at bay. Smooth ceramic bearings help the Zeros glide up to speed, and the lack of mass makes them well suited to climbing. The rims are solid with no flex or brake rub and, while that stiffness can show when running tyres at high pressure, you can run them at 10-15psi lower than recommended to add comfort without affecting grip or feel. The combination of a machined brake track and a very rigid rim meant that braking was brilliant across all our test bikes equipped with brakes from Shimano, Campagnolo and SRAM.

First off, hats off to Two Hubs. I ordered the Zero clinchers, but because they wouldn't be in for a week, they gave me the Zero two ways for the same price. Incredible deal! To the wheels. I had my doubts about the tubeless option simply because no one else I know had used them. If they're so great, why isn't anyone using them? That's a question i'll leave for the haters. These wheels are great. They are lightweight, bomber, and provide an incredible road feel that noticeably reduces road chatter. A downside is the goopy sealant in the event of a flat and the mess in throwing on a tube if you get a puncture that the sealant can't stop (had a one inch nail go through the top of the tire and through the side wall - no stopping that one). Also, there are a limited number of tire options at present for this system, though I have been pleased with the Hutchinson offerings thus far. In short, if you're debating between a clincher and a two way system, go with the two way - you'll be impressed.

By far the best all around wheelset I've had the pleasure of riding on the road. Absolute convert to Road Tubeless now and have been thoroughly impressed with how strong these wheels are considering how light they weigh. I'm a mountain biker and tend to hit or ride over all sorts of debris (and potholes), after a couple of thousand miles my set is still perfectly true. The USB ceramic bearings undoubtedly make a difference which I can certainly notice while in group rides when I'm soft pedaling (compared to other riders and their wheels). Thank you, Fulcrum!
